Pulmonary Hypertension: Essentials for Living the Adventure of PH

If you or someone you know was recently diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH), this webinar is especially designed for newly diagnosed patients. Deedre Boekweg, RN, BSN, CCRP, of Intermountain Medical Center, will review the basics of what every patient should know about PH, its treatment and coping with this disease. Discussion will cover the basic pathophysiology, symptoms, clinical evaluation, and therapies for PH.

Deedre Boekweg, RN, BSN, CCRP, is a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for The Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Excellence at The Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Deedre received her BSN at Weber State University and is currently studying for her Master’s degree. She began working with PH patients as an intensive care nurse in 2000 and transitioned to working specifically with PH treatment and research in 2007. Deedre has been an active member of the PH Professional Network since that time and currently is the Chair of the Education Committee, a member of the Early Diagnosis Campaign Education Committee and a member of her local support group.
