“The Scientific Sessions were the highlight for me. To learn about the research that is unraveling not only the mystery but the eventual cure for PAH is miraculous.” – Conference Attendee
PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions is the largest gathering of PH patients, family members and medical professionals in the world. Dedicated education for medical professionals will be available in the day-long Scientific Sessions, poster presentations, and in the additional Fundamentals of PH sessions throughout Conference. At the Scientific Sessions at PHA’s International PH Conference, researchers and healthcare professionals will have the opportunity to engage in educational sessions about PH practice and cutting-edge research. The theme of PHA’s 2016 Scientific Sessions is PH Around the World, and presentations will discuss the differences in the diagnosis, epidemiology, pathophysiology, and medical management of PH and PAH between developed and developing regions in order to facilitate the development and dissemination of novel treatment strategies for these conditions.
The PH Fundamentals: Continuing Medical Education Sessions will focus on the essentials of PH treatment and include case-based learning on diagnosis and treatment. These sessions will take place throughout the Conference and are available for continuing education credits.

PH Care Centers (PHCC) Workshop
The final step in the process of accreditation is a one day site visit conducted by trained PHCC physician and coordinator reviewers. This workshop (held on Thursday, June 16) will bring awareness to key PHCC criteria, help identify ways to organize the site visit day, and provide a basis to coordinate meetings with key facility staff and patient care area tours. Careful attention will be given on how to develop and present your center PAH/CTEPH roster for review and how to prepare for the coordinator and director interviews through staging of a mock site visit interview.
Each biennial meeting of our International PH Conference allows researchers to further their studies through the collection of data from PH patients in the Research Room.
