My name is Morgan and I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension at age 14, while I was in middle school. It was an extremely difficult time for me. Before I was diagnosed, I was undergoing treatment for asthma. I had trouble doing any school or physical activities. It wasn’t until I was walking up the stairs to go to class that I had almost passed out that I realized something wasn’t right. The doctors came in from there.
From that day on, I have been on all kinds of medications and treatments. Oxygen at night. My condition got a little better, but right now it's not so good. My pressures are still high, and not where my cardiologist wants them to be. I keep taking my meds and hope it all works out for the best. I try to keep a brave face, but it’s hard from time to time.
Thank you for all the support you have given me. Sincerely, Morgan M.
