You raising awareness

People everywhere are getting creative with zebra photos, paintings and other artistic projects to raise awareness of the Early Diagnosis Campaign, and they're having fun doing it!

Tired ZebraAfter walking for a short time, I tend to get out of breath and even get palpitations once in a while. When I saw this zebra lying on his back, looking as tired as I get when walking a short distance up an incline, I knew this zebra represented not just me, but so many others in the community of pulmonary hypertension patients!

Awareness CardDoctors are taught in medical school to look for the most common explanation for the symptoms we exhibit. They are taught to only look for the rare ailments, Zebras, when they have ruled everything else out. Pulmonary Hypertension is a rare and incurable disease, and although we are, we don't feel so small when we are all together in a community, such as the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. We are Zebras, we are the rare and often misdiagnosed, we are Pulmonary Hypertension patients!

I am a Zebra and a PH WarriorMy daughter Stacey LePage designed this for me and my Support group. She put a silhouette of lungs inside the heart, that was kind of my idea but she made it come to light.  Stacey worked very hard on this for her mom and I love her very much for being there for me with all my PH projects.
