Meeting Description:
Looking for other pulmonary hypertension patients? Can’t find a support group near you? Wondered what it takes to start up a support group, but not quite ready to take the plunge? PHA can help! PHA is constantly creating new resources, new programs and support for people interested in starting a support group.
There are 200 Support Groups nationwide -- run by patients, caregivers, medical professionals and supporters like you! Most had no experience organizing meetings and all learn the quick and easy steps to bring patients together for education, support and hope.
Volunteer Services Director Debbie Castro will spend the hour running through the various ways that PHA can help with your group -- for new groups and old!
This webinar is an introduction for those interested in leading new groups and a refresher for current support group leaders.
We will discuss topics such as:
- Finding a meeting location
- Outreaching to the community and advertising
- Providing refreshments
- Finding topic and speakers ideas
- PHA Freebies?!
