 Louise Durst, RN

Louise Durst served as the Chair of the PHPN Executive Committee from 2010-2012. During her two years of service, the Network has grown to incorporate increasingly multidisciplinary members from institutions around the world. Her leadership and inspiring vision have led to collaborative and cooperative PAH treatment and care. She has been a member of PHPN since its inception, a member of the Membership Committee since it began, and Chair of the Membership Committee from fall 2006 through fall 2008. Louise has presented on panels at every PHA International PH Conference since 2008, as well as at every PHPN Symposium since 2007.

She is also a preceptor for RN and allied health study coordinators and an instructor in the study coordinator education program at the Mayo Clinic. Louise currently works as a research nurse and study coordinator in pulmonary hypertension within the Cardiovascular Research Unit at the Mayo Clinic. She has more than 18 years of experience in cardiology nursing, including 10 years specializing in the care of pulmonary hypertension patients. Louise has worked in procedural cardiology as well as home healthcare for premature infants.
