Things I Found on PHA's Website
PHA's YouTube Channel
YouTube! PHA has a new channel on YouTube! Do I sound excited? Well, I am. This is so great! I just could not resist spotlighting the new PHA YouTube channel as the thing I found this week.
I found a great video to highlight. The theme of PHA's 8th International PH Conference was "Journey of Hope and Discovery." This week I found the video from that Conference. It is a glimpse into a wonderful weekend of connecting and sharing and learning. You might even see people you know in the video. But even if you do not personally know those interviewed, you will recognize their PH experiences. In less than 10 minutes, this video will provide inspiration and hope.
I encourage you to find videos on the YouTube channel and invite your friends and families to view them as well. This is so easy to do! With each video there is a link to "share." Just fill in an email address and a message; a link to the video will be sent to that address. This is a great way to spread awareness of PH and to help your friends and family members understand what you are dealing with.
I can't leave out one of my favorite videos on the channel. Carl Hicks, current chair of PHA's Board of Trustees, opened the Conference with the story of his family's journey with pulmonary hypertension. In this speech Carl shows everyone that the fight against PH requires both action and hope. It is actually 2 videos: part 1 and part 2; well worth viewing and sharing.
