OVERHEARD ONLINE -- REFLECTIONS ON PAST CONFERENCES
"So true! I had been diagnosed for about 3 months when I attended in Houston. It was absolutely life-changing because there was so much hope!!! The forum was unlike anything and truly special! I thank the ladies at the kitchen table and everyone who has worked so hard on the conferences!!!" Jill Joyce, Facebook comment in response to Conference Blog posting.

"The most informing conference you'll ever encounter. Take pad and pen because they give some handouts but you can't remember everything they tell you. Just remember PH is a new beginning of a different life but it's full of hope and new adventures." Betty Simmons, Facebook comment.

"This is going to be my second year, last time was amazing! I only hope that everyone gets to come and learn from this AMAZING experience. I learned so much and met so many amazing people. Thank you PHA!" Luci Uncertain-mind, Facebook comment.

MedledNEW NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU AND YOUR PHRIENDS
If PHA received one piece of consistent feedback from our 2008 International PH Conference, it was this: "MORE NETWORKING!" We heard you loud and clear and have added many ways to network with old PHriends and meet new people.

Conference Buddies
For the first time ever, PHA is offering you the chance to be paired with another patient, caregiver or an entire family to learn the ropes of Conference. Sign up if you are a first-time attendee OR if you are a Conference aficionado interested in mentoring someone new. Sign up now online or contact Buddies@PHAssociation.org for more information.

Patient and Caregivers Meet & Greet
Whether this is your first or fifth time attending Conference, you can make new connections or renew old PHriendships the minute you arrive! The "Meet & Greet" event on Thursday night gives you the opportunity to get a head start on the weekend's networking opportunities. This is a family-friendly, casual event complete with refreshments, raffle prizes, kids' activities and the chance to help PHA-UK attempt to break a Guinness Book World Record at the PuckerUp4PH campaign "kissing booth!"

Pre-Conference Meet-ups
Mix and mingle with patients and family members at the Pre-Conference Meet-ups Friday morning. Take part in the patient and caregiver scavenger hunt, leave a message for new patients on the Wall of Hope, and fill out your Patient Passport, a cool new Conference planning tool! Visit as many of the eight meet-ups as you'd like to make new PHriends and connect with others just like you.

Generation Hope After Dark
On Friday night, Conference attendees in their 20s and 30s are invited to Generation Hope After Dark, an after-hours gathering to kick back and relax with new friends. Also be sure to stop by the Generation Hope Booth to meet members of Generation Hope and learn more about PHA's programs for young adults.

"Power Breakfast": Network with a Medical Professional
At this networking breakfast on Saturday morning you will have the opportunity to enjoy a casual breakfast with a medical professional of your choice. Enjoy a healthy fare as you network and ask questions in a more intimate setting. Each medical professional will select a topic of interest to discuss at their table so you can decide what interests you most.
