Path to a Cure – PH Specialists Climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Support of a Cure February 2010
Unite with the PH Community as they Climb Africa’s Highest Mountain
“…Place one foot in front of the other and don’t look too far ahead or behind. This is the key to conquering any insurmountable obstacle, whether it be a mountain or a disease.” – Ray Benza, MD
Next February, PH Specialists and PHA Scientific Leadership Council members, Dr. Ray Benza and Dr. Robert Frantz, will know firsthand what it means to be breathless. In a joint effort to raise global awareness of PH, they will tackle the ultimate challenge - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain!
In addition to reaching the mountain's 19,330-ft summit in late February 2010, the physicians' fundamental goal is to raise $100,000 to support PHA's research programs
and programs that serve patients, families, and the medical community.
Dr. Benza's and Dr. Frantz's Kilimanjaro climb demonstrates that although we have many mountains to climb along the path to a PH cure, as a community we can conquer any challenge before us.
This is why we need you to be part of this momentous occasion! By joining other patients, families, and medical professionals around the globe in support of the physicians' trek, you can join in solidarity and hope that PH will one day be a preventable and curable disease.
Look to the right for ways you can get in step with them!
