Congratulations to Nicole Phillips, the winner of PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions Theme Contest. Her winning submission, PHinding Your Hope, was selected from more than 50 submissions. Nicole has been an active member in the PH community since her niece, Haylee, was diagnosed with a complete AV canal defect and pulmonary hypertension on Nov. 11, 2015, at the age of 3. In October 2016, she launched Run4Hay — a campaign to raise awareness and research dollars for the Robyn J. Barst Pediatric Research and Mentoring Fund at PHA — and contributed $5,098 in 2017. In October 2017, Nicole became one of the first contributors of PHA’s new blog, The Right Heart. Currently, she is busy developing the inaugural PHun Walk4Hay, an annual family event featuring a 1 mile fun walk to help raise awareness and funds for the Robyn Barst Fund and PHA. The walk will be held at Creve Coeur Lake in Maryland Heights, Missouri, on May 5, 2018.
