As part of Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) Awareness Month, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) has more Facebook Live events this month. The Q&As are offered in English and Spanish.
Join the interactive events live on the PHA website or Facebook. If you miss them, you can watch the recordings afterward.
First up is “About PH” at 7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 18 (Spanish) or Friday, Nov. 20 (English).
Josanna Rodriguez-Lopez, M.D., associate director of the pulmonary hypertension and thromboendarterectomy program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and Margie Rodriguez, FNP-C, a nurse practitioner at the Pulmonary and Sleep Center of the Valley in McAllen, Texas, will share their expertise in the Nov. 18 Spanish-language event.
Sonja Bartolome, M.D., professor of internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care, at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and a member of PHA’s Scientific Leadership Council, will share her insights in the Nov. 20 English event.
“PH and Meth” is scheduled for Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. EST with pulmonologist Ramona Doyle, M.D. (English). The Spanish-language version is at 2 p.m. EST Nov. 24 with pulmonologists Vinicio de Jesus Perez, M.D., and Karla Cruz, M.D. The events will focus on the link between methamphetamine use and PH, a growing concern.
All PH patients, whether newly diagnosed or living with PH for many years, along with their families, caregivers and physicians, are welcome to join and bring their questions.
In case you missed our previous events, “PH and Connective Tissue Diseases” Nov. 6 or “About CTEPH” (in English and Spanish) Nov. 11, you can watch them on our website.
Be sure to check our PH Awareness Month Calendar and follow PHA on social media for all news, discussion and resources on PH Awareness Month.
