Women with PH: Intimacy

July 31, 2017

During this webinar, Amy Kimber, RN, APNP, from Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin and Dr. Ioana Preston from Tufts University School of Medicine addressed ways that a pulmonary hypertension (PH) diagnosis can affect a woman’s personal life, identity relationships with others and how they can navigate these changes. Everyone experiences uncertainty and changes with their body image as well as emotional and sexual relationships. Adding a chronic medical illness can be challenging, so women should know that they can take control and be empowered in their lives. Discussion covered how you can better recognize thoughts and feelings about these changes and how to become comfortable in your skin with PH.
