“I am not sure what to expect. Will these symptoms stop or am I going to have to live with them?”
“I am a 78-year-old lady. I have been having symptoms of pulmonary hypertension (PH) for quite some time. I kept thinking that there was nothing wrong and I was imagining the feelings that I was having. I finally admitted that they were getting worse and my doctor ordered a stress test. I went to a cardiologist and he prescribed one new medication. It didn’t change anything, so he sent me to a PH specialist who gave me more medication and I am still having the same symptoms. I am not sure what to expect. Will these symptoms stop or am I going to have to live with them? It is hard because I have so many other conditions. I have an appointment with my PH doctor next week. I will be taking a list of questions that I want him to answer. This is my story for now. We will see what the future brings.”
