On Saturday, June 10, more than 150 members of the PHA community, including patients, caregivers, and medical team members gathered at South Street Seaport in New York City for the annual New York City O2 Breathe Walk. The ambiance of the day, together with perfect weather and a glorious view of the East River created a wonderful space for all attendees to connect while raising money and awareness for PH and PHA.

The top fundraising team at this year’s NYC event was Team Terry. They raised more than $5,000, which was led in effort by Terry’s sons, Brendan and Christian, who lost their mother six years ago to PH. Another top fundraiser was Debbie McCarthy, who raised money in loving memory of her daughter Katie, who passed away in 2013. Debbie and her team, sMiles for Katie, raised money by leading various fundraisers throughout the year.

PHA board members, Mitch Koppelman and Frank Cann were on hand to share updates from PHA and cheer on our participants. This O2 Breathe event was also proudly sponsored by Actelion, Gilead, United Therapeutics and Bayer HealthCare.
