Join PHA’s advocacy efforts during Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month. Take part in our Advocacy Day of Action on Nov. 15 to spread awareness about the need for better supplemental oxygen access.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is sharing stories from people with PH who use supplemental oxygen. We hope to drive home the message that supplemental oxygen treatment shouldn’t confine people to their homes. We want policymakers to know that oxygen therapy can allow those who need oxygen to be more active in their communities as long as they can access the equipment and therapy type most appropriate for their conditions.
How to make a difference:
Share your oxygen story: Help us promote the need for better oxygen access. Share your challenges in accessing oxygen or how supplemental oxygen improves your life. Don’t forget to include a photo of you with your equipment (or just a photo of your equipment). Submit your story.
Write a letter to the editor: Use our template to craft letters that call for oxygen access reform, and submit them to magazines, newspapers and other news outlets. Get the template.
Contact your Congress members: Reach out to your elected officials to educate them about the vital need for supplemental oxygen reform. Email your legislators.
By sharing your experiences and insights, you’ll play a crucial role in our advocacy efforts and help us raise awareness and drive change. Together, we can ensure better access to this life-saving resource.
