PHA and the pulmonary hypertension (PH) community recently learned that co-pay assistance previously offered by the Caring Voice Coalition (CVC) is now uncertain. In light of this development and the news that Good Days will offer limited co-pay assistance only to previous clients on Medicare, PHA has sought additional information to include in the PHA financial resources page. Click here.
The updated page highlights assistance programs from a variety of sources, including federal programs like Medicare Extra Help, and provides resources for contacting your Members of Congress.
If you need financial help with your health insurance premium or the co-pays for your PH mediation in 2018, you may wish to contact your U.S. Senators and Representative as well as your state legislators. Ask staff in these offices for any help available in your state. During your discussion, you can also ask what the elected official is doing to make sure you have access to your life saving medication in the future. Use this link to call now.
In addition, PHA continues to represent the PH community on Capitol Hill by visiting legislative staff and educating them about the critical importance of co-pay and premium assistance for people impacted by PH. PHA understands that this is a very difficult and uncertain time for many who struggle to pay for treatment and will continue to find ways to help.
