My mother (56 years old) was diagnosed with IPAH in September of 2019. She has been in the hospital/acute care/rehab/back into the hospital ever since. She is on intravenous remodulin, she was also on sildenaphil but had to be weaned off due to low blood pressure. She has developed cataracts in both eyes and is now blind from them, her doctors are refusing cataract surgery. She has severe ICU delirium and altered mental state from a seizure in November of 2019. She is also in kidney failure and going through dialysis 3 times a week. She has lost over 60lbs since first being admitted in September. After reading all these patient stories I refuse to believe this is ‘as good as it gets’ for my mom’s PH. Should be we considering looking for a different team of doctors? Or trying a different medicine?
