The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) needs your help to demand reform for challenges associated with supplemental oxygen. Use our email template to message your members of Congress now.

PHA, along a coalition that includes the American Lung Association and other patient organizations, is bringing forward legislation this year to address the need for oxygen-access reform.

One problem is that many oxygen suppliers no longer offer liquid oxygen, which offers the greatest  mobility and quality of life for people with high-flow oxygen needs. This lack of options limits PH patients’ everyday activities, and sometimes makes them homebound when they otherwise could work or go to school.

Your stories make PHA a more powerful and effective advocate for the community. You can help your lawmakers understand the issue so they are receptive to the coalition’s bill. If you or someone you care for have challenges with receiving or using oxygen, including home concentrators, e-tanks or liquid oxygen, ask your member of Congress to support legislation to improve supplemental oxygen access.

Ready to do even more for oxygen access advocacy? PHA is accepting sign-ups until April 21 for our virtual advocacy campaign in May. Let PHA help you take your advocacy even further by sharing your oxygen story directly with your legislative office. We’ll coach you every step of the way and pair you with an experienced advocate to facilitate your video meeting.
