Rino Aldrighetti: Leading from the Heart Fund
To mark World PH Day and the 25th anniversary of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), and to honor President and CEO Rino Aldrighetti for his 17 years of service ahead of his June retirement, PHA staff created the Rino Aldrighetti: Leading from the Heart Fund. The fund is an opportunity for the PH community to establish a stream of ongoing funding to contribute to PHA’s comprehensive patient/caregiver/family support, education, awareness and advocacy programs and to support the general mission of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, while remembering and honoring the association’s first CEO. We announced contributions to the special fund to date on June 19 at PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions during the formal leadership transition ceremony. Anyone wishing to make a contribution can do so here.
Rino Aldrighetti Leadership Award
Dr. Bruce Brundage – representing PHA’s founders, its Scientific Leadership Council, PH Professional Network, Board of Trustees, and staff – established the Rino Aldrighetti Leadership Award at PHA’s 12th International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions in June 2016. This award will enable an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in addressing the vision that PHA embraces. The fund will also make it possible for awardees to receive a significant monetary award to further their work.
