A new issue of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension was published online on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The official journal of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA); it is available at no charge four times per year. The latest issue, Volume 18, No. 3, “Behind the Scenes at the World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension 2018,” was guest-edited by Erika Berman Rosenzweig, M.D., member of the PHA Board of Trustees and Immediate past chair of PHA’s Scientific Leadership Council.
In this issue, task force leaders from the 2018 World Symposium on PH authored articles on risk stratification, pulmonary hypertension (PH) due to left heart disease and pediatric PH. In addition, this issue features a conversation between Dr. Rosenzweig and Nicholas Hill, M.D., about the impact of the changes in hemodynamic definitions and updated classification of PH.
Additionally, Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension Editor-in-Chief, Deborah J. Levine, M.D., described the quarterly Roundtable Discussion as “Last, but definitely not least, [this] was the ‘Round Table of Champions.’ This world expert-led discussion focused on some of the most challenging and controversial issues presented at the WSPH.”
