Dear friends,
Next week marks the beginning of Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month. This year’s theme, “EmPHasize Your Health,” aims to inspire physical and emotional wellness among the PH community.
Every November, PHA leads a global campaign to increase understanding of PH. This year, we’re encouraging screening for people with conditions that put them at risk of developing PH. Early detection can mean earlier diagnosis, timely treatment and improved quality of life.
Throughout the month, PHA will highlight how the members of our community care for their physical and emotional well-being. We’ll share personal stories, practical resources and self-care tips on our website and social media channels.
We encourage you to participate in PH Awareness Month by sharing those stories, resources and tips with your friends, family and social networks. Please explore our digital toolkit for social media profile and cover images, infographics, downloadable fact sheets and flyers, and other resources.
Your participation is important to educating the public about PH. By sharing how you EmPHasize Your Health, you can help others seek earlier diagnosis, appropriate treatment and improved overall health.
You can make a difference by simply posting about what you do to advocate for better care and improved treatment access or support PHA programs. Consider sharing photos of you and your family/friends at a PHA fundraiser or event on our social media pages and yours.
We also encourage you to get involved in several online activities during PH Awareness Month, including:
- Nov. 1: 2025 Phoenix O2breathe Walk.
- Nov. 4, 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST: From Awareness to Action: Advocating for the PH Community. Join PHA’s Jaeger Spratt for a webinar on federal legislation, including the SOAR Act, and learn to use PHA’s Advocacy Action Center to connect with lawmakers.

- Nov. 18, 8 p.m. EST: CTEPH Virtual Support Group Meeting. PHA will host a nationwide virtual support group for people affected by CTEPH. Please join this Zoom call to share your experiences and receive or extend support.
Our efforts to increase understanding of PH go beyond PH Awareness month. Our awareness efforts continue throughout the year, thanks to our members, the PHA staff and our Board of Trustees. During November and all year round, please continue to share your stories and questions with me. As always, I look forward to hearing from you.
