Find Your Community During Scleroderma, HHT Awareness Months Scleroderma_Month_400x320px

During HHT and scleroderma awareness months, join a PHA Facebook group related to these conditions that can cause pulmonary hypertension.

Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia is a genetic disorder that causes abnormalities of blood vessels. Usually resulting in excessive bleeding (known as hemorrhaging), HHT affects about 13 percent of people with PH. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that affects connective tissues and blood vessels. The condition causes inflammation and fibrosis (thickening) of the skin and other areas of the body. Scleroderma affects 5 to 15 percent of people with PAH.

Having one rare health condition can be isolating, and two rare conditions can make it even harder to find people who understand what you’re going through. PHA Facebook communities provide supportive, informative environments to empower members and give hope.

Join a private PHA Facebook group moderated by a trained volunteer. We offer a several groups for anyone who is living with PH including caregivers. Find other PHA Facebook Groups.
