Get Ready for the First Global PH Patient Survey survey-400×320

Take part in a groundbreaking survey to improve care and outcomes for pulmonary hypertension patients. Opening Oct. 16, the survey aims to help clinicians truly understand the impact of PH on patients worldwide.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is participating in a consortium of international PH organizations to promote the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute survey.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Global Patient Survey will be available in more than 15 languages. Designed for people of all ages, races and genders who have any type of pulmonary hypertension, the survey aims to gain diverse perspectives about PH experiences.

Each of the survey’s three sections will take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey can be completed by patients or their caregivers. If you’re 16 or younger, a parent or guardian should take the survey on your behalf.

Tess Jewson of London, who was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension 15 years ago, plans on completing the survey to share her experience.

“Our results will help improve the care that PH patients experience from across the world,” she says.

Patient advocate Pisana Ferrari of Italy urges people to complete the survey so clinicians can better understand the mental health effects of living with a chronic condition.

“Conducting a worldwide survey … is a crucial step toward shedding light on [patients’] struggles, needs and aspirations; fostering understanding and empathy; and driving initiatives for better care and support,” Ferrari says.

PVRI will announce the survey results in 2024, including at the World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension, which takes place every five years. PVRI hopes the survey will influence international clinical guidelines and the direction of future pulmonary hypertension research. PH.
