The Pulmonary Hypertension Association thanks NFL player Kameron Cline for designing PHA-branded footwear as part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign. Cline most recently played for the Buffalo Bills.
“I chose this cause to spread awareness on pulmonary hypertension,” Cline stated. “I had lost my mother to this disease when I was younger. I want people to be more aware of this rare disease so that they can be prepared.”
Cline was 12 when his mother Amy died. In his official bio, the 26-year-old says he takes the love of his mother to drive him forward. “I just want to be a light like my mom was.”
“By choosing to spotlight pulmonary hypertension through the My Cause My Cleats campaign, Kameron is not only honoring his mom, but is also helping raise vital awareness,” said Kevin Heyen, vice president, development and industry relations for PHA. “This is a powerful example of how personal stories can inspire hope and action.”
A native of San Diego, Cline graduated from the University of South Dakota. He joined the Buffalo Bills in 2023 after three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent.
