Now Online: PHA Journal Focuses on Group 2 PH NewAdvances

The latest issue of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension addresses Group 2 pulmonary hypertension, the most common cause of PH in the developed world. Caused by left heart disease, Group 2 PH has many diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.

This issue marks the first time Advances in PH features original research,Effects of Face-to-Face Nursing Support on Optimal Adherence to Oral Titratable PAH Therapies.” Advances, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s quarterly peer-reviewed clinical journal, generally features articles submitted by invitation.

Volume 22, Issue 3, also includes these articles:

  • Echocardiographic Evaluation of the Right Heart in Pulmonary Hypertension.
  • Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction and the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Hypertension.
  • Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension in Left-Sided Heart Disease.
  • Nonpharmacological Management of Heart Failure.

“This is clearly not a “one size fits all” disease,” say guest editors Marc A. Simon, MD, MS, and Richard A. Krasuski, MD. “In reading through this issue, a common theme reflected is how useful these articles will be to both experienced providers and all learners alike … We hope you enjoy and learn as much from this issue as we did in putting it together.”
