PHPN Symposium Registration Opens June 25 symposium-2023-1000×400

Health care professionals: Registration opens Wednesday, June 25, for the PH Professional Network Symposium. PHA’s PHPN Symposium will bring more than 500 health care professionals to Seattle Sept. 18-20.

Join us to learn about the latest advancements in treatment and care; network and connect with colleagues; and advocate and give back to PH patients and the Seattle community.

Themed “Igniting the PHight: Looking to the Future,” this year’s event offers 10 hours of continuing education credits/continuing medical education credits over three days. With an emphasis on multidisciplinary care teams and managing provider burnout, the symposium has something to offer for all professionals working in PH.

Featured sessions include:

  • “Patient Perspective in Pulmonary Hypertension,” co-hosted by PHA and PHA Canada, featuring Eric Borstein and Kate Salonga, who have PH.
  • “Self-Compassion Without Burnout: Managing Medical Trauma in PH Care,” presented by Jeffrey J. Lauzon, MA, PhD.
  • “Exploring the Role of Race and Ethnicity in Methamphetamine Use Patterns in PAH,” presented by Raquel Lyn, MD.

Between sessions, symposium attendees can visit the exhibit and poster halls to connect with peers and discover groundbreaking research and clinical projects.

In addition to educational offerings, professionals can take part in the PHPN Day of Action on Thursday, Sept. 18, and PHPN Trivia Night on Friday, Sept. 19. The PHPN Day of Action includes an advocacy training workshop with Jaeger Spratt, PHA’s treatment access and advocacy program manager. It also features a community engagement project to give back to the host city.

At PHPN Trivia Night, attendees will compete in teams of six to test their PH and general knowledge while raising funds for PHA’s Conference Scholarship Fund. The fund benefits people with PH and caregivers who need financial assistance to attend PHA 2026 International Conference and Scientific Sessions. June 11-14, 2026, in Dallas.

Don’t miss the premier event for PH professionals happening this fall. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 25, to register for the 2025 PHPN Symposium.
