PHA’s new PH Certificate Program is quickly filling up. The program for advanced practice professionals has two tracks: adult and pediatric. The adult course is full, but you can add your name to the waiting list. We are still accepting applications for the pediatric track.

The certificate program is for nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician associates and other allied health professionals who can prescribe medicine. It’s designed to help participants demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and treating PH. The training challenges professionals who already work in the field and offers support and flexibility for those new to treating PH.

The six-month curriculum features one required online lecture per month, supported by live and self-paced courses. The courses dive deeper into topics, such as interpreting diagnostic tests and making treatment recommendations for patients with all types of PH. Participants can choose to focus on adult or pediatric PH when they enroll.

Those who complete the Pulmonary Hypertension Certificate training will receive continuing education credits, pharmacology credits and a certificate of completion valid for five years.

The first session begins June 4. PHA will offer the program twice a year beginning in January 2026. Enrollment for the January 2026 session is expect to open in October, but you can add your name to the wait list now.
