Adding doctors and researchers to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s professional mentorship program significantly grew the program, according to an abstract presented last month at the CHEST annual meeting.
The poster, “Mentorship in the Modern Era,” highlighted the PHA Professional Mentorship program’s expansion to include PH Clinicians and Researchers, a PHA network. The poster also described program improvements to better assess mentee applicants’ needs. The improvements also included goal-setting meetings for new mentor-mentee pairings.
See the abstract in the CHEST journal. For more information about the program and to learn more about peer mentors, visit PHA Professional Mentorship and the Mentor Profiles.

“PHA and its Professional Education Committee are proud of the professional mentors and mentees who strive to support the professional development of their colleagues and ultimately improve quality of patient care,” said Daniel Layton, professional education program manager, PHA.
