The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is concerned about the impact of the recently passed legislation, HB 1, on our PH community. PHA remains committed to advocating on a nonpartisan basis for the health and wellbeing of individuals living with pulmonary hypertension and their caregivers. We fight for health care policy that:
- Prohibits discrimination against individuals with costly health conditions.
- Ensures medical care is driven by research and clinical judgment as determined by patient-clinician shared decisions.
- Expands access to health insurance coverage that is accessible, affordable and adequate.
- Reduces barriers to medical care, including out-of-pocket cost, for individuals with complex and/or costly health conditions.
