Do you know someone who goes above and beyond for their service to the pulmonary hypertension community? Nominate them for our Outstanding Member Awards by signing into your PHA account.
Nominations open March 2 and close April 13. The awards recognize Pulmonary Hypertension Associations members’ commitment to the PH community. PHA will present the awards at PHA 2026 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions, June 11-14 in Dallas. PHA’s awards recognize volunteer efforts in patient and caregiver support, advocacy, promoting quality patient care and advancing research. See the 2024 recipients.

Julie Hendry Memorial Scholarship Award (non-patient volunteer)
Named for Julie Paton Hendry, the first full-time, non-patient PHA volunteer. Hendry was the daughter of PHA founders Pat and Jerry Paton. Her family established the award to help a non-patient volunteer attend a PHA conference, which held a special place in Hendry’s heart. Extended family, friends and supporters can nominate themselves. They must demonstrate how they advance PHA’s mission to extend and improve the lives of those affected by PH. PH-treating health care professionals are not eligible for this award.
Rino Aldrighetti Leadership Award
Named for PHA’s first president and CEO, the award recognizes exceptional leadership in advancing PHA’s vision of a world without PH, empowered by hope. PHA will award $10,000 to help the recipient further their work with the PH community. All PHA members, national and international, are eligible, including health care professionals.
Philanthropy Award
To mark the increasingly important role of philanthropy at PHA, this award recognizes outstanding charitable commitment and generosity that encourages others to financially support PHA. This award isn’t open for nominations. PHA will select the recipient based on internal criteria.
The Outstanding Member Award dinner will take place June 13 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
