Paralyzing fatigue and unrelentless pounding in her heart after a long COVID-19 bout made Tina Kondos revisit decades of medical records. “So many symptoms I described 30 years ago are present today,” says Kondos, 54. “There were multiple mentions of routine screening for PH and heart failure.” Kondos, of Phoenix, spent months grieving a complete medical system failure. Today, she works to help her mind, body and spirit, and shares her knowledge as a Pulmonary Hypertension Association volunteer.

Kondos’ story is among the inspirational and educational articles in the most recent issue of Pathlight magazine. Pathlight’s quarterly printed magazine is a benefit of PHA membership.
