The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) just launched its new Clinical Trial Finder that allows individuals to search for research in pulmonary hypertension (PH), so it seems fitting to highlight a paper published in the most recent edition of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension, “Basic Science and Clinical Trials: Accelerating the Future.” Authors Stephen J. Halliday, M.D., and Evan L. Brittain, M.D., MSCI, provide summations of three presentations made at the 2018 PHA International Conference and Scientific Sessions. The presentations focused on recent breakthroughs in understanding the pathology of PH, preclinical models of new treatment, early-phase clinical trials and future directions for PH treatment.
