The Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s weekend in Phoenix is just one month away. On Oct. 26 and 27, we’re bringing PH education, connection, support and empowerment to the Greater Phoenix area. Will you join us?
PHA Connects: PH Community Workshop
Start your weekend on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the PHA Connects: PH Community Workshop at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. MST, members of the PH community will attend information-packed sessions led by regional medical experts and specialized support group meetings. They’ll also connect with other attendees and network with representatives from exhibiting companies and institutions, including pharmaceutical companies.
General sessions at the workshop will review an overview of PH, including common medication side effects and how to manage them, and provide updates on the latest clinical research and how the community can get involved. In addition, attendees can attend one of three breakout sessions covering topics including PH 101: Understanding PH, Navigating Advanced Care Planning for PH Patients and Making the Connection between Pulmonary Hypertension and Interstitial Lung Disease.
Attendance, meals and parking are free at the Phoenix workshop. Online registration for the workshop closes Friday, Oct. 18, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Phoenix O2breathe Walk
After the workshop, gather with the PH community at the 2024 Phoenix O2breathe Walk on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Eldorado Park in Scottsdale, Arizona. PHA’s regional O2breathe walks aim to increase PH awareness and connect local PH communities. The walk is free, and funds raised benefit PHA’s programs and services.
Get involved in the walk by:
- Becoming a team captain. Create a team, set a fundraising goal and invite everyone you know to join you and raise money.
- Joining an existing team. Set a personal fundraising goal and fundraise alongside your teammates.
- Contributing to the event. Donate to an existing team or the whole event.
Don’t miss your chance to connect with the Phoenix PH community. Register for the workshop and walk.
