About Tara

Tara’s journey with pulmonary arterial hypertension began in 2013, when she was diagnosed with PAH secondary to a congenital heart defect.

A former medical technologist, Tara left her career due to disability — an experience that gave her a unique perspective on what it means to live inside a diagnosis rather than just study one. She became a PHA Peer Mentor to support others navigating the complexities of Eisenmenger syndrome and PH, and to offer hope that a meaningful, connected life is still possible after diagnosis. She wants others to know that there is a community here, and that no one has to figure it out alone. Susan lives in the US Midwest.
