Time: Thursday, June 26, at 2 p.m. EDT
Description:
In honor of HHT Awareness Month, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and Cure HHT are hosting a Facebook Live to share the connection between pulmonary hypertension and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. HHT is a genetic disorder that causes abnormalities of blood vessels, usually resulting in excessive bleeding. About 13% of people with HHT have at least mildly elevated pulmonary artery pressures, which can develop into PH.
Expert speakers Ali Ataya, of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and the HHT and Rare Lung Disease Program at the University of Florida, and Scott Olitsky, outreach director at Cure HHT, will discuss the importance of understanding both conditions and share insights on:
- How to recognize signs and symptoms.
- Diagnostic tests.
- Treatment options.
Don’t miss this special opportunity to get your questions answered by the experts. Like and follow the PHA Facebook Page and turn on notifications to be reminded when PHA goes live on June 26.
