Throughout the month, PHA shared select recorded sessions from PHA 2022 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions through our PH Awareness Month calendar. Recorded sessions included:

PHA observed CTEPH Awareness Day on Nov. 9 with a Facebook Live event. William Auger, M.D., discussed CTEPH causes, symptoms, risks, diagnosis and treatment. Angela Michelle, who was diagnosed with CTEPH in 2018, shared her diagnosis journey and how the disease has affected her.

We also hosted the PHA Live event “2022 Focus on Pulmonary Hypertension Research”  on Nov. 15 with Anna Hemnes, M.D.; Evan Brittain, M.D.; M.Sc., Corey Ventetuolo, M.D.; and Thenappan Thenappan, M.D. The panel shared data and clinical research presented at PHA 2022.

PH Awareness Month’s Day of Action was on Nov. 17. We asked the community was to sign a petition calling for improved oxygen access.

PH Awareness Month festivities concluded Nov. 29 with GivingTuesday. PHA development committee member Mike Lentz, matched all new and increased monthly Sustainers Circle gifts up to $10,000.
