Dear PH Community,
On behalf of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) Board of Trustees, we are sharing the news that our president & CEO, Brad A. Wong, informed us he plans to leave PHA at the end of 2020.
The Board of Trustees is grateful for Brad’s vision, collaborative leadership and forward-thinking management during the past four years. He successfully guided PHA through a restructure and new strategic vision to become financially and operationally stronger, while remaining focused on the mission that our founders envisioned.
During his tenure, Brad directed the launch and expansion of many initiatives that support our strategic plan key focus areas: to empower patients and caregivers, advocate for the pulmonary hypertension (PH) community, catalyze research for a cure, ensure financial resources to achieve our mission and promote quality patient care. Thanks to Brad’s contributions, PHA has continued to grow and become even more impactful, effective and efficient, an organization that is well positioned for continued success.
With PHA’s strong foundation, strategic priorities and talented staff in place, the PHA Board will be seeking a new president & CEO to build on these strengths and successfully seize the many opportunities that lie ahead for our PH community.
We appreciate that Brad will continue to lead PHA and work with the Board and staff for the next several months to ensure a smooth transition. PHA’s Board of Trustees is currently developing a search process strategy and will be sharing more information as it becomes available.
PHA wishes Brad the best as he looks toward the next chapter in his career and professional growth.
