This summer, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) hosted its first virtual Town Hall Meeting for health care professionals. Hosted by PHA’s President and CEO, Matt Granato, LLM, MBA, and featuring key leaders from the PH scientific community, the town hall covered a variety of topics of interest to those who are already involved or those who want to become involved with PHA. Topics discussed included:

  • An overview of PHA’s recent advocacy successes and upcoming initiatives by Jaeger Spratt, MSW, PHA’s advocacy and treatment access program manager.
  • Benefits of joining PHA’s PH professional membership networks by Anna Hemnes, MD, PHA’s Scientific Leadership Council chair; and Kim Jackson, RN, BSN, PHA’s PH Professional Network (PHPN) chair.
  • An overview of the PH Care Center (PHCC), the Pulmonary Hypertension Association Registry (PHAR) and plans for expansion of each program by Delphine Yung, MD, PHA Accreditation and Registry chair; and Joel Wirth, MD, PHA Accreditation and Registry Committee immediate past chair.

The Town Hall ended with an interactive Q&A session. Be on the lookout for announcements about the next Town Hall to be scheduled in 2024.
