The latest issue of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension addresses associated diseases that can lead to pulmonary hypertension (PH). Advances is the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s quarterly peer-reviewed clinical journal.
Volume 21, Issue 4, includes articles on:
- Schistosomiasis-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
- HIV-associated PAH.
- Portopulmonary hypertension (PH related to liver disease).
- Role of the advanced practice nurses for patients undergoing pulmonary thromboendarterectomy and balloon pulmonary angioplasty for CTEPH.
“This issue of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension highlights several associated conditions causing pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) that are of particular relevance globally and deserve to be on our radar,” guest editors Marc Simon, M.D., and Deborah Levine, M.D., state in their commentary. “As the world shrinks, and our knowledge of mechanisms of disease and treatment grow, these articles are timely and well worth the read.”
