The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is launching a new grant opportunity to support pediatric pulmonary hypertension research.  PHA’s Pediatric PH Research Award supports research that could have a great impact toward advancing the field of PH pediatrics. Any areas of pediatric PH research that address areas of unmet need or expand on areas of limited knowledge will be accepted. Areas of focus include but are not limited to:

  • Developmental lung disease.
  • Pulmonary vascular disease leading to PH.
  • Signaling pathway regulating pulmonary vascular remodeling in pediatric PAH.
  • Classification, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric PH.
  • Improved clinical trial designs and novel endpoints or biomarkers to support pediatric PH clinical trials.
  • PH pediatric quality improvement and care initiatives.

The PHA Pediatric PH Research Award will support a pilot study for one year, up to $65,000 a year, that would provide foundational research for a larger study and support additional grant submissions.

PHA will begin accepting applications in June. Applications are due Monday, Sept. 12. Visit  ProposalCentral for more information.
