This Saturday, Oct. 12., the PHA on the Road education forum comes to the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel in Kansas City, Kan. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

PHA on the Road is a free educational event for those living with pulmonary hypertension (PH) and their loved ones to learn more about the disease from regional experts, as well as to connect with others in the PH community.

For those who are still considering attending Saturday’s event, online registration closed last night, but you can still attend! You can register in-person on the day of the event.

For the rest of you who are not able to attend, we have good news! The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) will be streaming two of its sessions live via its Facebook page.

The first live session will be “Managing Side Effects of PH Medications” from 10:00-10:50 a.m. CDT. In this session, an expert panel will discuss how PH therapies can be used to help alleviate the symptoms of the disease and the potential side effects that one must learn to manage. Panelists will also discuss common side effects for PH therapies and will provide strategies and tips for how to best manage them to maintain quality of life.

The second session will be the Lightning Round Q&A and Keynote Presentation from 12:10-1:30 p.m. CDT. The session will feature additional questions from participants and an inspiring keynote from Emelia Hedstrom, an individual with PH.

To watch the sessions, please go to PHA’s Facebook page. Please also follow the Facebook page for live updates throughout the day!
