Dear PH community,

It is with deep disappointment we are writing to inform you that the PHA 2020 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions scheduled to take place in Anaheim, California, June 12-14, 2020, will be canceled. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) Board of Trustees unanimously voted to cancel Conference due to growing concerns about the impact of COVID-19 on the United States.

Given the importance of Conference to everyone in the PH community and its revered place within PHA’s history, this difficult decision was made with a firm belief that PHA must first and foremost protect the health and safety of our community. In making its decision, the Board consulted with the PHA Scientific Leadership Council, PHA PH Professional Network Executive Committee, members of the patient and caregiver community and PHA’s corporate partners.  This decision is consistent with the current direction provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization and the State of California.

As we all move forward during these fluid and uncertain times of COVID-19, PHA will remain your resource for trusted, credible and timely information, education and safe support.  With the cancellation of PHA 2020, we are working to develop new and expanded resources for the community that will enable you to remain connected and informed and to receive the support you need to help you thrive. In the meantime, please visit PHAssociation.org to explore our current resources including ways to connect with others by phone or online by visiting PHAssociation.org/support or calling PHA’s Support Line at 800-748-7274.

For all those who have registered for PHA 2020, you will receive a full refund of your registration fees within the next few weeks. Hotel room reservations at the Anaheim Marriott hotel must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival to receive a refund of any deposit (if applicable). Please visit PHA 2020 Travel & Hotels for additional information about hotel cancellations.

We will continue to provide information about COVID-19 for the PH community at PHAssociation.org/COVID-19.

PHA appreciates your patience and understanding during this unprecedented public health crisis and the need to take extraordinary steps to protect your health and safety.  We remain committed to providing the services and support that you need and together we will PHight during this challenging time. Please direct any questions you may have to meetings@phassociation.org.

Sincerely,
