“It gives me hope when I know more people are living longer.”
“I was officially diagnosed a long time ago when I was a child. I’m an adult now. I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and a hole in my heart.
“When I was diagnosed, my parents eventually found an amazing doctor. That doctor knew about pulmonary hypertension (PH). That doctor gave me hope. The doctor I have now gives me hope. I’m thankful for the doctors and nurses.
“There weren’t many options when I was diagnosed. We still had hope. I’m noticing more people living longer with PH. It gives me hope when I know more people are living longer. I notice the amazing work people are doing to raise awareness. I notice the research people are doing. I know more awareness is needed. I know more research is needed. I noticed a difference between the time I was diagnosed and now.
“I know one day a cure will be found. People are working hard to make that happen. I believe support, a good doctor, the right medication and hope make a big difference in a person’s life.”
