“You can still have a full life, just different than what you were used to.”
by Carolyn Terrel
“Three years ago, on March 9, 2016, our family’s lives, as we knew it changed forever. I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
Dr. Stacy Mandras and her medical staff at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans give me hope with the great care and encouragement they have been providing me and my family over the last three years. Even though this disease is rare and incurable, with the right medical staff, early diagnosis and medication, you can still have a full life, just different than what you were used to. You can still travel, by car, train or fly. You just have to do a bit more planning. Matter of fact, I’m planning a trip to California from November to January. Can’t wait!
