“Oh! My grandfather has hypertension!”
Have you ever heard a response like this when trying to explain pulmonary hypertension (PH)? Members of Congress make laws that impact the PH community every day, but, like so many in the community, they are often unfamiliar with the challenges and seriousness of the disease.
PHA’s Congressional Luncheon and June 6 Call-In Day give the PH community two opportunities to recruit Members of Congress for the PHight. This year’s advocacy actions will focus on two issues that have weighed very heavily on the PH community – the difficulty of paying for PH medication and the importance of improved diagnosis and treatment.
Take action now and on June 6.
- Email your Members of Congress now and invite them to attend PHA’s free Congressional Luncheon where they will learn more about life with PH.
- Pledge to call your Members of Congress on the day of the Luncheon, June 6. PHA will provide a call script and everything you need to make participating in PH Call-In Day easy. Your calls will help strengthen the message of the luncheon and multiply our impact.
