History

The Advanced Lung Disease Management program at Inova Fairfax Hospital was established in 1996. The Program has experienced great growth over the last 20 years and now serves as a regional referral center with patient referrals from greater than 200+ miles. Dr. Steve Nathan serves as the Medical Director of the Advanced Lung Disease and Lung Transplant Program at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Oksana Shlobin serves as the Co-Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. A dedicated, multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to enhance patient care and improve outcomes. Both inpatient and outpatient care is provided at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. The outpatient clinic and inpatient services are located in the Heart and Vascular Institute providing state of the art services to patients and their families. The program has a strong research component with 5 dedicated research staff members to conduct IRB approved research.
