Intermountain Medical Center Pulmonary Hypertension Program
5121 South Cottonwood Street
Murray, UT 84107

History

Dr. Greg Elliott began to investigate pulmonary hypertension (PH) in the 1980’s as part of the original National Institutes of Health (NIH) Registry. The Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic at Intermountain Medical Center (formerly LDS Hospital) was subsequently established in 1982. The program has evolved from a handful of patients, a single physician and one nurse to a program that cares for over 300 patients and has a staff of three physicians, three nurse coordinators and multiple research and regulatory associates.  We care for patients over a large geographical area and work closely with local practitioners.  We are fortunate to practice in a new facility that continues to grow and expand with changing patient volumes. Our clinic exists in proximity to both pulmonary function and echocardiographic labs. Specific intensive care units are designated and educated to manage admitted PH patients and to attend to their specialized needs. Our program is strengthened by the knowledge base of the staff members, their ability to bring expert individual skills together for the comprehensive care of patients and by the tenacity of the patients themselves.
