The Northside Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension Program was formally initiated in September 2012 under the directorship of Dr. Paul Boyce. Program Coordinator, Melissa Morrison, DNP, joined in 2014 and serves an integral role in the coordination of care for their PAH population. The program has grown tremendously and serves an expansive area that continues to grow throughout Georgia. Northside Hospital currently offers all forms of medical therapies including but not limited to prostacyclin therapy, clinical research, and close collaboration with other surgical and transplantation centers as needed. Northside Hospital has a designated inpatient unit to care for PAH patients with specially trained nurses and pharmacists.
