PHA Centers of Comprehensive Care

History

Formally organized in 2000 under the leadership of Dr. Roblee Allen and lead nurse coordinator Andrea Allen, the PH program at UC Davis offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of all pulmonary hypertension patients in WHO group I-V. It is a part of the UC Davis Health System Advanced Lung Disease Program, with a dedicated inpatient PH service, a designated ICU and telemetry units. The outpatient clinic provides clinics for PH patients four days a week. The PH team is rounded out by two part-time medical staff, two additional PH nurse coordinators, program assistant, and a research team. In addition, inpatient nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, dieticians, and clinical pharmacists are all available to the program.
