PHA Centers of Comprehensive Care

History

The Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease and Right Heart Failure was first implemented in 1998 with Dr. Marc Pritzker serving as the director of the program for the past 8 years. The team directly involved in the daily management of patients consists of two cardiologists, a nurse practitioner, two nurse coordinators and a program coordinator. The PH team also enlists the expertise from colleagues in other specialties to facilitate care and the needs of PH patients including rheumatology, pulmonology, hepatology, transplant, and palliative care. Additionally, a social worker, dietitian, pharmacist, and Coumadin clinic are available upon referral.
